Antioch University Distance Learning

Antioch is a five-campus university located in four states. Each campus has its own distinct academic programs, community life, and regional or national identity. Antioch University is founded on principles of rigorous liberal arts education, innovative experiential learning and socially engaged citizenship.

Collectively, Antioch has developed a new Ph.D. program and a growing number of online courses. The multiple campuses of the University nurtures in its students the knowledge, skills and habits of reflection to excel as lifelong learners, democratic leaders and global citizens who live lives of meaning and purpose.

At Antioch, academic degrees and professional programs are administered and conferred by each individual campus depending on the type of degree program and the field of research, specialized study, or professional training covered. Although many classes are implementing online learning, currently there are no online degree programs offered at Antioch but may be in the future.

The Antioch University system includes: Antioch University Midwest in Yellow Springs, OH (also the base campus for Antioch Education Abroad programs); Antioch University New England in Keene, NH; Antioch University Los Angeles in Culver City, CA; Antioch University Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, CA; Antioch University Seattle in Seattle, WA.

Undergraduate Antioch University degree programs include: B.A. in Early Childhood Education with OH Teaching License, B.A. in Health and Wellness, B.A. in Liberal Studies, B.A. in Humanities, B.A. in Management and much more. Master’s Degree programs include: M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.A. in Clinical Psychology, M.A. in Dance Movement Therapy, M.A. in Education & Teacher Credentialing, to name a few. Doctoral Degrees offered include: Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, Ph.D. in Leadership and Change, Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.

Antioch also offers various Certificate/Professional Development degrees such as: Autism Spectrum Disorders Certificate, Alternative Educator License, Coaching Certificate, Ecological Planning and Design Certificate, Business Leadership and Change Management Certificate, as well as many others.

Finally, several study abroad options are available to students of the Antioch University system, such as: Antioch in Germany, Buddhist Studies in India, China and Its Buddhist Traditions, Brazilian Ecosystems: The Protection and Management of Biodiversity, and others.

Using the Sakai open source Learning Management platform, Antioch University is able to offer students a hybrid online/live class experience that, according to faculty, adds to the students’ overall learning environment. The Antioch Academic Technology Team is comprised of education professionals with technology experience who work with each campus, and especially faculty, to foster the knowledge, skills, and understanding critical to using Antioch’s academic technology resources to achieve institutional and instructional goals.

Overall, the Antioch University system offers students a wide range of options. Students can choose from five campuses located around the country or study abroad. Students can take advantage of several undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs offered at the different Antioch locations. Students will also benefit from online learning resources which add value to the overall learning environment. Antioch focuses on making its campuses diverse and accessible and to enflame the passion and commitment of its students with the knowledge to make our world a better place to live.
