Benedictine University Distance Learning

Benedictine University has more than 120 years of providing quality education services to students from all over the nation. It is a fully accredited school that has been awarded as one of the best master’s universities in the Midwest region. Focusing on liberal arts and incorporating Catholic values have been a core part of the university. The university is a strong believer in not only providing a quality education to the students but also helping develop them socially and emotionally and with integrity. Distance learning online incorporates all the same things on-campus students benefit from with the added convenience of learning from the comfort of home.

The distance learning programs offered ad Benedictine University result in earning the same degree as on-site students. Programs offered include Bachelor in Management, Bachelor in Organizational Leadership, Master of Business Administration, Accelerated MBA Degree, and even Doctor of Education. The distance learning programs are offered entirely online with no trips to campus at all.

The MBA program is offered at six different sessions per year. Some students may even qualify to waive the GMAT requirement. Other base courses may also be waived depending on the student’s educational background.

Each student is also given the opportunity to meet with an adviser who can help them fully with choosing which courses they need to take, evaluate their past educational history, and apply waivers and credits where they are due. There are also two tracks available for students to consider. The standard track is a reasonable work load that involves one course per term. On the accelerated track, students can take two courses per term but will have to deal with a larger work load. The result is finishing the degree program in potentially as little as one year.

The courses offered online are affordable when compared to other accredited universities. There are financial aid programs available for students who qualify. Online students may also defer their tuition costs until the end of term if their employer participates in the reimbursement program. Small class sizes make for a unique experience in that each student has the opportunity to have quality interaction with their professors. There is also round the clock technical support for distance learning students.

Other positives for potential students are the fact that the school will accept undergraduate test scores that have been earned in the last five years. They also offer the opportunity to earn dual degrees which will reduce the amount of time spent studying each major separately. The length of each degree program will depend on a variety of things such as how many courses it requires for completion.

Benedictine University has some exciting alumni that many may recognize. Former Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan is one. Former head football coach of the University of Nebraska Bill Callahan, and Disney writer David Reynolds are also proud alumni.
