Bryant and Stratton College was founded more than 155 years ago by Dr. J. C. Bryant in Buffalo, New York. Its mission then and now has been to provide career focused training to prepare individuals for the workplace after graduation. Initially a business learning lab it evolved to offer correspondence courses through the mail and then to provide online education classes through the internet. It is interesting to note that John D. Rockefeller Sr. was among the college’s earliest graduates when it was still called Folsom Business College.
Today Bryant & Stratton College has 8 campuses located in New York, 3 in Ohio, 3 in Wisconsin, and 3 in Virginia. It also has a virtual campus where students can complete degrees and certificates through online distance learning. Distance learning is a convenient, cost effective way of pursuing a degree while still working full time and managing a home and family. With distance learning student schedules are very flexible and revolve around the student instead of the student having to work around a formal on campus schedule.
Bryant and Stratton College offers both associate’s and bachelor’s online degree programs as well as certificates. Associate’s degrees for online students can generally be completed with full time study in 20 months while bachelor’s degree programs can be completed in 40 months. That means distance learning degrees can be obtained much faster than traditional on campus degrees. In order to obtain real world experience, Bryant and Stratton Colleges requires completion of a capstone course designed for this purpose. Tuition for Bryant and Stratton College is about $450 per credit hour.
Applicants to Bryant and Stratton College are required to have a high school diploma or GED with official transcripts as proof.
