California State University Hayward, also known as Cal State East Bay, CSU East Bay, East Bay, and CSUEB is located in the eastern part of San Francisco Bay. It has a student population of more than 13,000 diverse individuals, and over one-hundred degree granting programs and areas of study. The prestigious U.S. News and World Report ranked Hayward (or East Bay) as as a top-tier Master’s level degree granting institution in the Western half of the United States, and it falls within the top tier for “Best in the West” as recognized by The Princeton Review for the last seven years in a row. Their strongest, most well-known academic departments are the College of Busines and Economics, Education, Biotechnology, as well as their Music program. They have additional campus buildings in Oakland and Concord. It is one of the few Universities in the California State system to have quarters rather than semesters.
Cal State Hayward/East Bay offers over fifty undergraduate degree granting programs and just under forty Master’s degrees. Tuition and fees at California State East Bay is $4,872 for a California State resident, and $13,800 for a non-resident.
