CD-Based Courses
CD-Based courses are self-paced courses.
The course consists of textbooks, a study guide, a syllabus
and a CD containing professionally-produced telecourse lessons.Each
course has an assigned instructor. As a self-paced course, you
will have access to your instructor via e-mail, phone, and postal
mail.
Please note that the standard $10 telecourse
fee applies to CD-Based courses.
You must order your course materials following
registration. Upon receiving your packet, you will be required
to return a Course Contract (included in the course materials
packet) or contact your instructor by e-mail verifying your enrollment
in the class. If your instructor does not hear from you, you will
be dropped from the class.

Course Materials
Upon registration for any CD-Based course,
you must order your course packet from Follett by calling 877.369.5428 or go directly to Follett's Website.
Video Streaming
Selected courses may be video streamed free. Students can view some of the Annenberg programs online at www.learner.org/view_programs/view.programs.html. Free signup required for first-time users.

Testing
There are no class meetings for any CD-Based
courses, however most classes will require proctored testing
at an approved location.
In your course materials packet you will
receive a proctor instructions and agreement form. It is your
responsibility to locate an appropriate proctor and return the
proctor form promptly as directed in your packet. All information
and instructions are included in your course materials packet.
Local students within 75 miles of Jacksonville, FL are not required
to complete the form, but must contact the Distance Learning Testing
Center to arrange for testing. Call 904.632.5020 or

Hardware/Software
In order to view the CDs, a computer with
audio and video capability is required. A Pentium II, 450 MHz
multimedia computer with an 8x CD-ROM drive running Windows 98SE
is the minimum recommended system for smooth playback of video
and audio. Windows Media Player is required to view the lessons
and may be downloaded for free from the Microsoft Web Site at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia.
