Located approximately 15 minutes from the state capital of Hartford, the campus is spread out over 165 acres of land with some 40 buildings. CCSU has taken steps to ensure the university’s place among the finest institutions in Connecticut by embarking on a major campus renovation program. This program is invested in state-of-the-art technologies and establishing a campus of beauty and hospitality for its students.
In addition to the positively enriching and fulfilling campus environment found at CCSU, the university offers a great athletics program to its students. This institution offers 18 NCAA Division I sports programs. The mission of this program is to create community for students where they can learn to be responsible and productive citizens, prepared to enter the workforce. These student-athletes will learn to balance their academic work with their athletic training through one on one meetings with advisors, group workshops, supervised study hall and academic advising. In retaliation to emerging trends of learning-on-demand, CCSU is offering students the option of utilizing its distance learning opportunities. OnlineCCSU is the virtual classroom of the university. Students can choose to indulge in both undergraduate as well as graduate courses from distances unimportant to the learning process. Most successful learners are highly motivated, self-disciplined, willing to initiate calls to help desk or professor for assistance and willing to establish regular periods of time for studying.
