College of St. Scholastica Distance Learning

The main campus of the College of St. Scholastica is located in Duluth, Minnesota and has extensions in St. Paul, St. Cloud, Brainerd, and Rochester. There are distance learning courses available online as well. The school was founded in 1912 and is affiliated with the Catholic church. The school is fully accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. The college is made up of the Schools of Arts and Letters, Business and Technology, Education, Health Sciences, Nursing, and Sciences.

Distance learning degree programs from Scholastica are designed to be flexible and convenient for non-traditional students. The online interactive tools give purpose to the area of study and provide a community where students can be involved with the distance learning student body along with the faculty. These courses are formatted to be flexible to meet the needs of professionals seeking to advance their careers without the sacrifice and commitment of getting to campus for seated classes. Nearly all of the programs are completed 100% online and a select few require a one week intensive session on campus.

Registered nurses with a degree or diploma who wish to advance in their field can complete the RN to BS distance learning program online. Graduates will have a wider knowledge base and sharpen their skills making them an asset in their field and more likely to secure higher paying positions. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education awarded additional accreditation to this program.

Individuals who are seeking eligibility to take the RHIA national exam and earn their B.S. in Health Information Management can earn their distance learning degree from St. Scholastica. This course requires a one week intensive study at the Duluth campus. Scholastica works closely with each student on an individual basis to ensure the highest quality education is being delivered.

Teachers and other individuals in the education field can register for classes to complete their Master of Education distance learning degree. This course focuses on new methods to improve pupils learning abilities and motivates the teachers to reflect on their teaching style and modify it to meet the current demands of an ever-changing field. New information and technology are also covered in this program.

Other distance learning degree programs at St. Scholastica include the Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy, M.S. in Health Information Management, M.A. in Information Technology Leadership, and M.S. in Educational Media and Technology. Graduates of these programs will be well prepared to pursue leadership positions and have access to more opportunities in their career.
