Florida Community College at Jacksonville
College Fair Transfer Services Transcript
University of Florida Greetings from the University of Florida in Gainesville. UF is a Land Grant University,
and a member of the distinguished American Association of universities. We have almost
50,000 students from diverse backgrounds studying in more than 100 undergraduate
majors offered by 20 colleges and schools including professional colleges of law,
pharmacy, medicine, dentistry and veterinarian medicine.
Students not only have access
to top notch faculty and facilities but also programs that can enhance the undergraduate
experience. Those programs include international study opportunities, student
organizations, undergraduate research, and of coarse combined degrees that allow you to
study graduate and undergraduate programs.
When applying to UF, students must
choose a specific major and the college that houses that major makes the admission
decision. Students interested in transferring to the University of Florida should have
earned an Associate of Arts degree, meet the foreign language requirement of the
University of Florida, complete specific prerequisite courses, and earn a specific grade
point average. These requirements vary by major, so it is important that students
communicate directly with the college that houses the major.
UF has a first class office
for student financial affairs and was recently recognized as one of the least expensive
flagship universities in the country by the "USA Today." I encourage you to visit UF at an
admissions information session and tours are offer Monday through Friday at 10 a.m.,
and 2 p.m. and 10 a.m. on select Saturdays.
