Colorado Christian University is a private, Christian college located in Denver, Colorado. This university focuses more in the holistic perspective by educating the student in the ways of academics, spiritual growth, and professional development. They are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and do much more than what is officially approved. The long standing Christian tradition at this university sets the tone for all students to pursue Evangelical courses in sharing their relationship with god in addition to landing students in a rewarding field of practice in the field of their choice.
Colorado Christian’s roots trace back to its inception as the Denver Bible Institute in 1914. Over the years, student enrollment expanded and the institute fought hard to receive accreditation in 1945. Eventually, after several decades of expansion, construction, and renaming, they merged with the Western Bible Institute and Colorado Baptist University to become the university that they are today.
The most popular fields of study at the university are Curriculum & Instruction, which is mainly put in place under the Evangelical model in which students can start their own ministries, Elementary Education & Teaching, Organizational Behavior Studies, Human Resources Management, Personnel Administration, and Counseling Psychology. The college offers Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees in variety of majors, programs, and even independent studies that the students can put together themselves.
The university features a very well developed online program for distance education. Students can select from a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and more. Master’s degrees are offered for Curriculum and Instruction, as well as Business Administration (B.B.A.). A plethora of certificate programs are also available in Accounting, Bible Studies, Entrepreneurship, Ethics, Project Management, and even a graduate certificate in Online Teaching and Learning!
Students do not have to adhere to a particular schedule, only the time management of their choosing to meet the deadlines that are published in advance so that the student can monitor their progress. The university has made a large selection of resources available, including library resources, and faculty that are just a click away for quick answers to the student’s questions. Of course, the program can be taken anywhere and students have enjoyed the benefits of completing coursework on their own time while receiving certification and credentials that receive the same attention and accreditation as on-campus courses.
What Colorado Christian University represents is a Christian dedication to developing the whole student, and not just the grades and credentials on paper. Whether you are on campus or online, you can expect to see only the best from the university’s staff, as they expect the best from you.
