Fresno Pacific University, originally known as Pacific Bible Institute, is located in Fresno, California, and was founded in 1944. Established by the Pacific District Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, it aspires to transform students through education, into Christian thought leaders dedicated to service through classroom learning and community service. The school offered its first bachelor degree in 1965, and expanded into having a master’s degree program in 1975. Fresno Pacific holds accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is ranked as number twenty-six by U.S. News & World Report for Master Degree granting institutions in the western states.
