Grambling State University is a historically renowned African American college founded in the year of 1901 as the Colored Industrial and Agricultural School. The first bachelor degree was awarded in elementary education in the year 1944; the school later became Grambling College in the year1946. The school was named after the local land owner who had originally donated the parcel of the land that the college is built on. The university is located in Grambling, Louisiana and the entire campus stretches for 370 acres and hosts around 101 buildings.
