Guilford College Distance Learning

Guilford College is a private co-educational liberal arts college located at 5800 West Friendly Ave in the city of Greensboro, North Carolina; Guilford College was founded by the Quakers back in the year 1837.  The institution is actually the fourth oldest in the state and is located in the third largest city in the state; there are about a million and a half people in the immediate area. At this time Guilford College does not currently offer online or distance learning programs to students, however there are still many different types of scholastic opportunities for students to enroll in as well as many events and activities to join in on. This college has offers many opportunities to those students eager to promote their total potential.

Today there are currently an estimated 2,600 students enrolled at Guilford College attending classes on campus. There are presently 126 faculty members employed on the academic staff. Guilford College offers liberal arts degrees in over 20 different majors of study; the university has many courses to aid students in preparing for their career goals.  Some of the undergraduate majors available to students are art, biology, finance, accounting, English, economics, chemistry, geology, physics and still there are many more majors for students to choose from. Guilford College provides classes through the colleges and schools on campus. There are still many different departments at Guilford College offering students wide variety of majors to enroll in to pursue their academic and vocational aspirations. Guilford College also offers adult programs to students older than 23; these classes are available in the evening to make learning convenient for the working student. Guilford College also offers certificates of study programs to students to aid in augmenting their academic resume.

The suburban campus consists of about 340 acres and has many facilities on campus to provide amenities to all types of students. There are currently many different student groups to choose from at Guilford College. Aside from these organizations, Guilford College provides athletics for students to participate in; there are currently several teams available to students as the Guilford College is a member of the National Collegiate Athletics Association. Some of the athletic available are basketball, football, tennis, soccer, lacrosse, golf and baseball for men; the university offers tennis, cross-country, softball, swimming, volleyball, soccer and track for women to participate in. Within 25 miles there are another seven neighboring colleges as well. These are just some of the opportunities available to students to keep active on campus there are still many more.

At this time there are no online or distance learning programs currently available for students at this college, however there are rewards Guilford College has to offer students on campus. The commendable education here increases the likelihood for academic and vocational prosperity for the future and there are many options available throughout the year to keep even the liveliest students content.
