E-mail Account Name Change Policy

It is the policy of Florida Community College at Jacksonville not to change e-mail addresses unless an official name change has been made. Even then it is preferable to change only the "Display" name, ie. "Doe, John", not the e-mail address itself.

Note:

We understand that there is a problem with spam throughout the entire Internet. Although we cannot change an e-mail address, there are measures that can be taken to reduce the amount of junk mail that must be dealt with. There is no solution yet to the spam problem worldwide. Any e-mail address will eventually receive spam, especially when the e-mail address is so widely available to students and the Web in general. Even changing an e-mail address would only be a temporary fix.
