International Academy of Design and Technology Distance Learning

Creativity and traditional workplaces are commonly seen as oil and water; although they occasionally are brought together, they are best kept separate. However, modern schools of thought now see the two as vitally important, and recognize the need to develop both sides in employees and workplace environments in order to maximize the potential of a company, brand, or workplace. The goal of the International Academy of Design and Technology is to do just that; to help creative people to harness their talents and skills into careers that are in high-demand through on-campus and distance learning degrees. This is achieved through a student-centered learning atmosphere which seeks to foster creativity, diversity and respect with courses taught by professional and/or degreed faculty who can give students industry-standard knowledge and skills.

The International Academy of Design and Technology, also known as the Academy, offers a variety of degrees that combine creativity with design and technology that translate into professional jobs in high-demand fields. Regardless of whether the degree is obtained through on-campus programs or through high-tech distance learning online, students can be assured that they are receiving a quality degree. Degrees can be obtained on-campus at one of their 10 campus locations throughout the US, or from any location via distance learning. The Academy employs modern, cutting-edge technology in its distance learning model to ensure that students get the best educational experience possible. Distance learning occurs through media that students may already be familiar with, such as instant messaging, discussion boards, and pod-casts, and through the most up-to-date distance learning technology such as the virtual classroom Breeze, conversation archives, Virtual Commons and Virtual Campus. Students can even access their courses and coursework through their cell phones if their phone supports the distance learning applications that the Academy uses!

Distance learning degrees are available at the associate’s and bachelor’s levels. Online associate’s degrees include an Associate of Science in Graphic Design, Web Design, Information Technology, or Building Information Modeling.
