Mercy College is liberal arts college located in Dobbs Ferry, New York. The prime objective of Mercy College is providing opportunities in academics to motivated students that want to better their lives with higher education. It is the college’s philosophy that education is an improving factor of life, even if the knowledge doesn’t apply to a credential or specific occupation. This is why Mercy College harbors a creative atmosphere in which students approach learning with a positive attitude, not a loathing one. By this means, Mercy College students have been known as leaders in their field.

Mercy College has a large array of online courses that be taken at a distance. In addition there is yet another large array when mentioning distance degrees, as there are degrees at the baccalaureate level and master’s level. All courses taken online feature the same certification and attention as on-campus courses do.

One of the degrees offered 100% online is the Bachelor of Business Administration. Students in this program are taken through the subsidiary components of Business – Accounting, Finance, Management, Entrepreneurship, and so on. Instructors teaching these classes are among the most qualified and are mostly successful businesspeople themselves.

Another available program at Mercy College is the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Here, students are immersed in programming skills, such as Java or C++ and are taken through the fundamentals of Software Engineering. Computer Architecture is also a given in this course as well as a thorough grounding in Operating Systems and Computer Networking. All of this is taught 100% online.

Some other degrees offered via distance learning include, but are not limited to a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Art in English, a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, and a Master of Science in Psychology. Of the degrees offered, the most chosen of the bunch are those that pertain to Education and Social Sciences with Business closely in tow.

For undergraduate students, tuition comes out to $14,990 per year full-time and, for part-time students, tuition comes out to $630 per credit hour. For graduate students, tuition comes at the cost of $12,510 per year full-time and, for part-time grad students, tuition is $695 per credit hour. Approximately 2 out of 3 students at the school are receiving institutional grants from Mercy College itself. Approximately 5 out of 9 students receive financial aid from federal sources and 6 out of 10 students receive state and local grants. In total, 81% of students are receiving financial aid in some form.
