Muskingum University is a baccalaureate comprehensive university of the liberal arts that is located in New Concord, Ohio. The university takes the classical, laissez-faire approach of leaving students to their own devices and providing the highest quality curriculum with rigorous study in tow. Muskingum University offers a large variety of online courses that can be used in tandem with on-campus study or used completely online. Courses can be taken asynchronously or combined for independent study. There is no mention or publication of a completely online distance degree program, although there is a strong likelihood of such programs arriving soon. Many universities of all sizes, styles, demographics, affiliations, and rank have all featured degree programs eventually and Muskingum is bound to participate soon. There are, however, hybrid programs that combine face to face meetings with otherwise online classes.

The strongest pursuance of students by major is the field of Education. Many students have graduated from Muskingum University to assume to role of instructors, teachers, and professors in various vocations and disciplines. Muskingum University is an excellent choice for Teaching & Education majors for its reputation and concentration in Teacher Education.

Other students choose the popular major of Business & Commerce. This is a slightly more generic alternative to the Business Administration & Management course of study and allows students to leave their degree open to further specification in areas like Marketing or Finance. Muskingum College is mainly a baccalaureate university, but there are some graduate programs offered in extension to this curriculum. Undergraduate full-time students will pay $18,400 per year and, when enrolling part-time, $385 per credit hour. Graduate students will pay $6,300 per year when enrolling full-time and $350 per credit hour when enrolling part-time.

Fortunately, 100% of students attending Muskingum College are receiving financial aid in some form and to some degree. Federal grants are dispersed to an approximate average of 1 out of 3 financial aid recipients in any given year. State and local sources combine to supply 9 out of 10 students with grants and awards for tuition purposes.
