North Georgia College & State University is a public, baccalaureate university that is based out of Dahlonega, Georgia. North Georgia puts forth an educational experience of the highest possible quality for students of all different studies. One online degree program that is offered by the Center for Teaching & Learning Excellence is titled the Master of Education in Middle Grades Math and Science. Students in this program can add areas of concentration to their repertoire of teaching capabilities for further employment opportunities or earning potential. In addition, this is an opportunity for students to obtain a Master’s degree if they have already procured a baccalaureate credential in the field of Education. It should be noted that the Master’s program builds upon previous credentials and does not supply the necessary prerequisites for the student.

All online classes offered at North Georgia are backed by the accreditation that North Georgia continually receives and are attended to by North Georgia faculty, not teaching assistants. Students are treated like they are in a classroom rather than having to deal with a bland, automated setting in which online coursework can become tedious.

Since North Georgia College & State University is public in status, students will pay varied rates depending upon their status of residency. Resident/Non-resident graduates will pay $3,582/$14,316 per year when enrolling on full-time basis and $150/$597 per credit hour when enrolling on a part-time basis. Resident/Non-resident undergraduates will pay $2,838/$11,349 per year when enrolling full-time and $130/$517 per credit hour when enrolling on a part-time basis.

A total of 87% of students attending North Georgia College & State University is receiving financial aid in some form and to some extent. Federal grants are dispersed yearly to 1 out of 6 students as an approximate average. State and local sources supply the leading amount and to 7 out of 10 students for tuition purposes. Institutional grants are awarded to 13% of North Georgia students in the form of scholarships, grants, and other awards for education.
