Salve Regina University offers distance learning for graduate students and for a variety of majors. Grad students have the flexibility of enrolling part-time, full-time, self-paced, and, in some cases, at an accelerated pace. Master’s degrees and certificates are awarded at the end of each program.
To list the variety of degree/certificate options, there are master’s programs, certificate programs, and graduate programs. Master’s programs include the Master of Science in Administration of Justice, the Master of Business Administration, the Master of Science in Management, the Master of Arts in International Relations, the Master of Arts in Humanities, and the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration & Management.
Online certificates can be earned for the topics of International Relations, Homeland Security, Healthcare Administration & Management, Management, Human Resource Management, and Law Enforcement Leadership. The span of credits needed for each certificate varies. The Certificate of Graduate Studies in International Relations spans 4 courses, or 12 credits, for example.
The group of graduate programs is comprised of the Master of Arts in Holistic Counseling, the Master of Arts in Holistic Leadership, the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration & Management, the Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities. The term “Holistic” is not mentioned often in graduate studies, or in studies in general. Although, it is an entirely legitimate study that draws from current sciences and philosophy and is offered at colleges and universities across the country.
The term can be better explained in examining the M.A. in Holistic Counseling program. This program was formulated for counselors and consultants that want to integrate body, mind, and spirit together into a greater, holistic picture. Holistic thought embraces the understanding that personal health relies on factors greater than merely psychology, but also connectedness in the community, the natural world, and in the person’s own being.
Graduate studies at Salve Regina University are very affordable. For a year of full-time study, a graduate student will typically pay (on average) $6,840 per year. For part-time study, the cost of tuition is calculated per credit hour, $380. Compare this to the hefty $28,950 per year that an undergraduate student would have to pay for full-time study.
In either case, generous amounts of financial aid are awarded, and primarily through the very university itself. The average amount awarded is $13,464 and this award goes to 78% of the student body. As a graduate student, one has a strong chance of having either most or all of their tuition covered by financial aid.
