Southern New Hampshire University Distance Learning

The Southern New Hampshire University consists of a 300 acre campus located in rapid-developing Manchester, New Hampshire. H.A.B. Shapiro originally founded SNHU in 1932 under the name of New Hampshire School of Accounting and Secretarial Science. Over the next 5 decades the school continued to grow and expand their degree programs, and in 1995 the school launched its distance learning program on the Internet which is known as SNHU Online. 1996 was the beginning of the latest wave of significant expansions, and in 2001 the school became known as it’s presently named Southern New Hampshire University. SNHU is made up of the School of Education, the School of Liberal Arts, and the School of Business.

SNHU is a ranked a Tier 1 University by U.S. News and World Report. There are around 3,900 students currently studying at the main campus location and 1,300 attending classes at other locations. There are around 1,900 students enrolled in SNHU’s Internet-based distance learning courses. The average class size is 20-22 students.

SNHU Online has over fifty graduate and undergraduate programs available for students to take from the comfort of their own home. SNHU recognized the need for flexible and progressive continued education programs and took the initiative in creating a state-of-the-art Internet curriculum. Distance learning is a convenient and economical way for students to further their education which results in higher earning potential and personal satisfaction.

Popular undergraduate programs consist of Accounting, Business Administration, Business Studies, Computer Information Technology, Justice Studies, Marketing, and Psychology. Graduate programs include Accounting, Curriculum and Instruction, International Hospitality, and Sports Management. There are also several MBA programs like Finance, Marketing, Social Media Marketing, and Workplace Conflict Management.

Tuition for SNHU distance learning courses is affordable at just $906 per 3 credit undergraduate course. Active duty military personnel get a discounted tuition of $675 per 3 credit undergraduate course. Graduate courses are $1,773.
