What is a Telecourse?
Telecourses are professionally produced video lessons that can be viewed on cable TV, on videotapes at any Florida Community College learning resources center or recorded on your VCR. Some of the telecourses are on CDs available for check-out from the FCCJ campus libraries and free video streaming at www.learner.org (See below). Using a study guide, textbook, written assignments, faculty interaction and testing, you take control of your own education, working and learning - at home!

Will a telecourse appear on an official transcript? What if I have questions about the course material? Answers to your most frequently asked questions are here.

Missed Viewing
At times we may need to re-air a telecourse due to technical difficulties. If your telecourse does not air at the originally advertised time, please check Telecourse Repeats for the re-airing schedule.

If you do not have access to cable television, you may watch telecourses at any campus learning resources center.

Before You Register
If you have changed your address or telephone number, please contact any campus enrollment services office to update your records so you will receive College correspondence such as grade reports and graduation information. The registration process and course fees are the same as those for on-campus courses, however there is an additional $10 fee per telecourse.

Telecourse Orientations
You may be required to attend an on-campus orientation. Please check for your class requirements. Here's the Summer 2008 Telecourse Orientation schedule.

Testing Sites
Regularly scheduled testing is held at the location noted in your course outline. Or choose one of the alternate testing periods.
If the test site is listed as "ONLY," testing is available only at that location with the instructor. See course outline for details.
