In 1998 the Colorado School of Professional Psychology was founded but then later bought by the Bridgepoint Education Center. In 2007 it was renamed University of the Rockies. It’s located in Colorado Springs and is near 14,000 foot Pike’s Peak. Colorado Springs is Colorado’s second largest city and is home to a U.S. Olympic Training Center and a U.S. Air Force Training Center.
The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. They also have Category I status as a degree granting institution that was issued by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. Also, the university is an associate member of the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology.

Earning a certificate can increase a person’s earning potential and make them eligible for more diverse positions. The credits earned can also be transferred to another degree program. No matter which courses a person takes, furthering their education will open up more opportunities to get better job positions, earn higher salaries, and expand their expertise making them invaluable in the work place.
